Zidane enters a three-way historical list in Real Madrid


French coach Zinedine Zidane, Real Madrid's coach, set a record with Meringue after leading his team against Athletic Bilbao, on Sunday, in the 18th round of the Spanish League.

According to the newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Zidane surpassed Leo Penacher, the former team coach, and became the third Real Madrid coach to play the most.

She added that Zidane reached match No. 184 in his coaching career with Merengue, bypassing Pinkaker, who had led the royal in 183 games.

The newspaper added that Zidane is third behind Vicente del Bosque (246 games) and Miguel Muñoz (604 games).

Real Madrid drew with Athletic Bilbao (0-0), to claim Al-Meringue second in the La Liga table with 37 points, two points behind leaders Barcelona (39 points).
